If you are not on the electoral register you cannot vote.

 

To vote in the Mayoral and London Assembly elections you must register by 5pm on 16 April 2008. You just need to fill in and sign a simple form.

Did you know?

As many as 10% of Londoners are not registered to vote - over half a million people.

If you pay council tax, you are automatically on the register. You must fill in separate forms.

It is difficult to get loans and open bank accounts if you're not registered.
